“Give the ones you love wings to fly, roots to come back, and reasons to stay.” -The Dalai Lama
Loving someone is a beautiful experience, it makes you feel content and wanting for more at the same time. When you truly love a person, you cannot sever the connection between the two of you easily. So, you should strengthen that connection.
Prop Each Other’s Wings Up
When in you are in love, you wish for more time and the moment to last forever. You want to be a better person and make your loved one happy. It inspires you to be good. Since love is a two-way street, the feeling of inspiring and being inspired is mutual.
You prop each other’s wings up and help the other to take flight. You don’t hold them back. Instead, you encourage them to test the sky’s limit, and you remain by their side when the clouds turn stormy. You are present to guide them to a clearer path. This is what love does to each other if you understand it well.
Descending To The Ground
When one tires of flying, the only way to rest is to descend to a home that is rooted in the ground. The heights you can reach don’t matter unless there is a home to come to when you need it the most. Think of the love you share with someone as the root holding your tree of relationship together.
If the root turns moldy with neglect, no matter how big the tree is, it can fall in no time. If the tree you have nurtured seems shaky to you, maybe it is time for you to check on the root. You can save it once again, and even see it grow grander.
Reasons To Stay
Have you ever loved someone so much that the thought of leaving never crosses your mind? Maybe they are kind, and they bring out the best in you. Maybe the bond is too strong for it to be broken. Maybe you’re just happy with them. Yes, there are many reasons, but there is also a common denominator in there, and that is love.
Though it might seem too simple to be true, love is the glue that binds it all together. It is the reason you are together in the first place. So, don’t hide the love you have for the people who matter in your life. Let them sense your affection even in your absence, after all, there is no harm in expressing your love.
